In support of this, it is required that at least one parent of each player registered in minor hockey take the Respect in Sport Program for Parents. The program is a proactive, educational program that empowers parents with the tools to ensure that the games are enjoyable and respectful for the parents, the players and all other participants in the game.
Jumpstart is a national charity with a commitment to local communities. Canadian Tire Corporation recognized that organized sports connect kids to their communities and makes sure that money raised stays where it is donated.
Giving kids the opportunity to access sport and play is essential for their growth and development, which is why Jumpstart funds a variety of different sports and activities all with the goal of giving all kids the chance to discover their passion.
